Admissions

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

Aged 16 years and above

 and 2

Possess at least 3 GCE ‘O’ Level credits with a minimum of C6 including English and Mathematics OR ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above OR WSQ Advanced Certificate in Fashion Technology OR TaF.tc's Advanced Certificate

All students are required to have basic computing skills i.e. turn on the laptop, use the mouse, drag and drop files, use online search engine for research; and be a competent user of Microsoft Office.

All students must also be competent or possess equivalent skills and knowledge for the following competencies: a) Drafting and Sewing: Bottoms OR Intermediate Drafting and Sewing

Items Required For Class

Before your class begins, we'd like you to make sure that you have the following items so that the class can proceed smoothly. The following items are compulsory for students to bring on the first day: Sewing Tool Kit - Drafting and sewing tools will be provided in class. *Do take note that the learning tools are for class usage. Kindly return them after class ends. Your TaF.tc Sewing Tool Kit - Should you feel that you would like to own a set of tools, you can purchase the kit at SMH Crafts. Your performed measurements for pants. If you are unsure what these measurements are and how to obtain these measurements, please download the pdf here. Students must bring all required measurements on the first day as it will not be done in class. The following items are compulsory for students to bring only after the first day. Students are advised not to purchase any of these items until AFTER the first day as the trainer will explain them in detail: Main Fabric - 2.3m by 1.15m (45-inch) width OR 1.8m by 1.5m (60-inch) width. Pocket Fabric - 1.45m by 1.15m (45-inch) width Various sewing related materials. The entire list can be found here (including the fabric).

FAQs

Yes! You can use any SkillsFuture Credits you have to pay for course fees.

We do not offer any make-up or replacement classes.

We highly discourage you from missing any classes since the entire program is designed to be hands-on intensive. There is also a minimum attendance requirement of 75% of training hours for Singaporean and PRs, and 90% of training hours for international students. If you do not meet the 75% attendance requirement, you will not be eligible to enjoy subsidies nor to sit for the assessment. Make sure you block off your time during your training with us or find an intake option that will ensure you do not miss any classes. You will only wish that you had more time in the class!
