How to Claim Absentee Payroll

As a Singapore registered company, you can apply for absentee payroll when you or your staff attends a WSQ course with CET funding. If your company is an SME, you can also apply for SME Enhanced Training Support where you can apply to get back 20% of course fees for WSQ 70% subsidized courses. Your company will first need to register for an EASY Account.

Registering for an EASY Account

For 1st time login to SkillsConnect portal, companies will need to register with IRAS for an EASY Account and authorise their staff access on behalf of their company. EASY stands for e-Services Authorisation System, an online authorisation system that allows your organisation to authorise employees or third parties to access the Government’s e-services on its behalf.

  1. Proceed to this link and login to EASY.
    • You will need your business registration reference number and e-Services access code to authorise staff/third parties to act for your organisation matters.
    • Fill in the details of the staff to be authorised and assign to SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). Please appoint staff as ‘Approve’ and tick the checkbox for “WDA WDA_L3E_EASY” and save.
    • Kindly note that it will take 24 hours for the authorization to take effect before the staff may login to SkillsConnect.
  2. Once authorisation has been approved, you may proceed to submit a new Organisation Profile registration.
  3. For easy reference, you may access the online help at the SkillsConnect website. Click on the ‘Help’ button and select ‘Online help’. Under the ‘Non-WSQ and Training Grant-related Matter’ you may download the ‘Registration of a Company Profile’.
  4. If you require further clarification, you may contact SkillsConnect Helpdesk at 6883 5885 and press 1 for language selection and 0 to speak to a Customer Service Officer.

 

To apply for Absentee Payroll and SME Enhanced Training Support

  1. Proceed to this link
  2. It will take between 1-2 weeks to register for a company EASY Account.
  3. You can apply for absentee payroll online at SkillsConnect 180 days before course start date or within 30 days after the course start date. Otherwise your application will be rejected.
