Take your design from paper to working digital file using computer aided design software such as adobe illustrator. You will learn how to draw various shoe designs and render them on this platform to reflect the qualities and details of your design. Objectives
  • Identify the tools, menu, and palette functions of CAD design software to draw footwear design.
  • Sketch footwear design with CAD design software using a last template.
  • Create footwear designs by modifying templates in CAD design software in accordance with the footwear design requirements.
  • Convert footwear design into a technical sketch by adding the finishing and seam details.
  • Ascertain different modes of output, graphic files, and formats for CAD design software for footwear design and presentation.
  • Interface between different CAD design software to optimize footwear illustration.
  • Simulate rendering to the CAD footwear technical illustrations to make it three-dimensional (3D).
  • Evaluate the CAD footwear design illustrations.
  • Make necessary changes in the CAD footwear design illustrations for any non-conformances.

Admissions

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

Aged 16 years and above

 and 2

Possess at least 3 GCE 'N' Level credits including English and Mathematics OR ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 and above

 and 3

Students are required to have basic computing skills i.e. turn on the laptop, use the mouse, drag and drop files, use online search engine for research; and be a competent user of Microsoft Office.

Graduation

To graduate, you must fulfil the following requirements

1

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module

 and 2

Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments

International Students

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

1

Aged 16 years and above

 and 2

High School Diploma equivalent to GCE 'N' Levels including English and Mathematics

 and 3

IELTS score 5.5 or TOEFL score 75

 and 4

English Language Requirement – Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR IELTS score 4.5 or TOEFL score 75

 and 5

Students are required to have basic computing skills i.e. turn on the laptop, use the mouse, drag and drop files, use online search engine for research; and be a competent user of Microsoft Office.

Graduation

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module. Student Pass Holders – a minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required

Upon registering for the course, you will be required to download the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for this course. Your laptop should meet the following minimum specifications:

FAQs

We highly discourage you from missing any classes since the entire program is designed to be hands-on intensive. There is also a minimum attendance requirement of 75% of training hours for Singaporean and PRs, and 90% of training hours for international students. If you do not meet the 75% attendance requirement, you will not be eligible to enjoy subsidies nor to sit for the assessment. Make sure you block off your time during your training with us or find an intake option that will ensure you do not miss any classes. You will only wish that you had more time in the class!

Yes! You can use any SkillsFuture Credits you have to pay for course fees.

We do not offer any make-up or replacement classes.
