This course uses a Virtual Fit Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create bag design samples virtually. This software enables you to make quick changes and modifications to design, material and colour with ease and see it rendered in full 3-Dimension. The benefit of this software is to cut down your production costs as sampling different bags designs and sizes can be completely done virtually. This course will teach you how to use this software to better facilitate your design process.

  • Understand the use of various functions of a virtual prototyping software
  • Create virtual prototype through amending virtual basic pattern drafts
  • Simulate virtual material and put in effect on virtual prototype
  • Use virtual embellishments and accessories (buckles, zippers, buttons, etc.)
  • Evaluate and make necessary amendments based on the virtual prototype

 Entry Requirements

Singapore/PR Students: 

  • GCE 'O' Level with minimum grade C6 for 3 subjects, including English and Mathematics OR
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate OR
  • WSQ ES WPLN Level 5 and above

International Students:

  • IELTS score 5.5 or TOEFL 600 AND
  • High School Diploma equivalent to GCE 'O' Level with minimum grade C6 for 3 subjects, including English and Mathematics

ALL Students are required to have basic digital literacy, knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office

 Graduation Requirements

Student  must fulfill the following requirements:

  • 75% attendance rate of total training hours per module
  • Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments.

 Certificate Issuance

Upon successful completion of the course, student will be awarded a TaF.tc Certificate in Virtual Prototyping for Bags and Small Goods
