Overview
This unit aims to equip apparel production personnel with a foundation in pattern development and garment construction for the apparel industry. These include the skill and knowledge of interpreting designs and developing patterns based on given specifications and measurements for garment construction in accordance with industry standards. The participants will learn the techniques of laying fabric, cutting, sewing and applying proper finishing of the various components of Hoodie Jacket. This unit is delivered through pattern drafting on white board, demonstrations and hands-on sewing operations

Objectives
  • Identify the pattern pieces, sewing operations bulletin and/or processes required to construct the garment in accordance with industry standards.
  • Develop patterns for hoodie base on given size specification
  • Label and mark individual pattern pieces with symbols and notches based on industry practices
  • Sew a hoodie with kangaroo pocket according to given specifications
  • Evaluate sewn product against given quality specifications and measurements
  • Take follow-up actions for non-conformance.
Certificate Issuance
Upon successful completion of the course, student will be awarded the Statement of Attainment (SOA) for WSQ Develop Apparel Patterns through Drafting and Sew Basic Bottoms and Tops with Variation of Collars. WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.

We highly discourage you from missing any classes since the entire program is designed to be hands-on intensive. There is also a minimum attendance requirement of 75% of training hours for Singaporean and PRs, and 90% of training hours for international students. If you do not meet the 75% attendance requirement, you will not be eligible to enjoy subsidies nor to sit for the assessment. Make sure you block off your time during your training with us or find an intake option that will ensure you do not miss any classes. You will only wish that you had more time in the class!
