Upon successful completion of this course Trainees will be given WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ certifications are nationally endorsed and recognized by industry partners

Course Overview

Teamwork is vital for competing in today's global workplace. Individual merit is not as desirable as a high level of collective team performance. Work sometimes cannot get done not because of incomplete information or confusion about processes but due to the lack of teamwork and lack of communication. This course equip participants on how skills and knowledge of team members can be identified to design an effective team to achieve organizational goals and objectives . It also covers how team can be managed and sustains effectively using the effective communication and techniques. Participants will be given in depth knowledge on how team performance management system can be established to review team performance against goals and objectives and corrective Action plan can be taken
This unit is delivered through lectures, simulations and hands-on activities. Participant will be engaged in many active discussions.


Objectives -:

Aim of this subject are as follows -

  • Identify the nature of teams to be formed in accordance with the organisational goals and objectives
  • Design an effective team to achieve the organisational goals and objectives
  • Develop
  • Apply team goal setting techniques to construct a goal orientated work team
  • Facilitate work teams to identify goals to be achieved which are aligned to organisational goals and objectives
  • Apply appropriate techniques resolve issues arise during the formation of teams 
  • Manage the team activities to achieve the set goals and objectives
  • Establish team performance management system to motivate and sustain effective teams
  • Plan suitable activities to develop synergy in teamwork
  • Maintain communication process to prevent breakdown of team communication
  • Apply effective leadership skills leading to successful teams
  • Apply conflict resolution techniques to resolve conflict between the individuals and in the team
  • Review team performance against goals and objectives is carried out in accordance with established organisational procedures
  • Engage regular constructive feedback with supervisors and team member to maintain good communication
  • Identify and address problems relating to team performance
  • Develop team improvement processes in accordance with organisational procedures
  • Record and present documentations relating to team activities/performances to management in accordance to organisational procedures
  • Carry out the follow-up actions for work team performance and achievement of goals in accordance with established organisational procedures
