This subject equips the student on how to draft patterns based on given size specifications provided by the client. The underpinning knowledge on the industrial garment construction, various methods of measurements, body silhouettes, styles, fit, industrial stitches, seam allowance and fabric retraction will be taught. Issues on how to draft patterns taking into consideration factors such as differing seam allowance based on stitch types, as well as fabric retraction based on fabric characteristics. |
