Course Description

This training provides the participant with the attitude, the skills and knowledge to work in the global textile and apparel industry. It provides the participant

1. An overview of the global textile and apparel industry,

2. The various free trade agreements, trade remedies and WTO framework that guide the industry, the historical and evolution of the Singapore’s textile and fashion industry,

3. The key players in the textile and fashion industry

4. The economic level and cultures of the different countries vs. Singapore

5. The benefits of living overseas

6. The technicalities to consider when living overseas
7. The right attitude in living overseas

8. The roles the participants will undertake in accepting an overseas assignment or posting,

The course will be an amalgamation of lectures, discussions, self reflections, research and
realignment of expectations in working overseas.
