| Course Description | ||||
|
The course shall convey how to analyze the requirements of the buyer, draft a technically correct pattern and evaluate the fit of the sample. The participants will study two different basic blocks with different sleeve constructions with special focus on raglan sleeves during the course. At the end of the course all participants shall be able to draft technically correct ladies knit top pattern according to buyers’ requirements. |

| Analyzing and interpretation of Design Sketches | Size ranges and different proportions of the female body, how to measure the form | The participants will learn how to interpret the sketch of a Designer. | ||
| Drafting of basic patterns | Inch and Metric system, Calculating of shrinkage before starting the pattern, | The participants can convert an inch spec sheet into metric measurements. Furthermore the pattern-maker will learn how to add shrinkage and drafting of a technical correct pattern. | ||
| The sleeve construction | First the armhole then the sleeve, different sleeve widths and different crown heights, the raglan sleeve and different ways of styling | The participants will learn different sleeve construction and how to use them. | ||
| Drafting patterns according to buyer’s measurements | Fit evaluations of T-shirts | The patternmaker will learn to draft a technical correct pattern according to buyer’s request. The sample room manager or technical designer must evaluate the fit of the finished sample before submitting it to the buyer. | ||
