Subject Synopsis

Apparel and textile manufacturing is a labor intensive industry. Labor costs form a significant component of the overall cost of production. A factory’s competitiveness depends on the quality of its workforce. And the quality of the workforce depends on how effectively the factory manages its human resources.
With constantly rising cost of production and pressure on pricing makes it even more urgent to professionalize human resource management in apparel and textile export factories.
A professional approach to human resources, including setting up HR systems, can have several positive impacts on the factory performance such as higher productivity, lower employee turnover, better compliance with laws and social responsibility code of conduct.
This course helps participants in understanding various dynamics of human resources management in apparel and textile factories, tools to implement effective HR systems and ability to benchmark and measure human resource performance.
