About the Program

Rajesh Chhabara
International Trainer, Consultant and Author

Rajesh Chhabara is a Singapore based corporate social responsibility expert with a diverse experience of over 15 years in private and nonprofit sectors. He is a published author, columnist, consultant, trainer and public speaker.

He has authored a globally acclaimed book “Social Accountability- A Practical Guide to Implement Code of Conduct”, the first of its kind book for the global retail supply-chain. His forthcoming book is titled “CSR for Competitive Advantage.”

He advises organizations in developing a seamless corporate responsibility program and tools including risk assessment, strategy, stakeholder management, management systems and certifications, supply chain monitoring, communication, crisis management and CSR reports. He is also a certified SA 8000 lead auditor and an approved EICC (Electronics Industry Code of Conduct) lead auditor and trainer.

His broad experience in media, social marketing, fund raising, supply-chain monitoring, project management and consulting coupled with his deep understanding of local cultures, socioeconomic challenges, labor rights issues, industry practices, political climate and risk matrix in the Asia region enables him to bring a wholesome approach to CSR solutions. His geographical work experience extends to India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Mauritius, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Middle East, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

He has also developed curriculum/course material on social responsibility for a few academic institutes and has lectured in various management schools. He has authored a large number of articles, reports and research on responsible business and is South East Asia writer for the Ethical Corporation magazine, world’s leading CSR monthly. A regular speaker on corporate responsibility, his views are frequently quoted in global business and mainstream media.

His experience includes stints with leading media houses in India, Unicef, Gap and CSR consulting firms working with a wide range of industries.
